Approach to Therapy
Feeling heard and validated is important for self discovery and growth. Reaching out for help can be very difficult at first. We all know that taking care of ourselves physically is important and now we know it is as important to take care of ourselves mentally and emotionally. Going to therapy is like going to the doctor for a cold or to the gym to gain physical strength. The challenges you face deserve the very best care; together we can develop a strategy for better life satisfaction.
The first session will include a discussion of why you sought therapy, your desired goals and a plan for meeting your goals. The focus in sessions will be to help you uncover skills, values, and personality traits to facilitate a happier and healthier life. Customized treatment is a very important piece of the therapeutic process.
A variety of appointment times and days are available to accommodate your schedule. Your sessions will be free from judgement and you can expect to feel safe and comfortable when revealing your personal issues. Privacy is a priority. What is discussed in sessions will be kept confidential.
